Our client, The Civic Pub is looking for experienced Cooks and Chefs to join its team.
The applicants must be professional and reliable with a passion for food and a positive team attitude.
Excellent communication skills and good English is essential.
You will be required to assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen. You will be expected to show leadership, attention
to detail, strong consumer service, and a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You must be willing to assist in the training of junior staff and
apprentices.
This is an opportunity to develop your skills in the kitchen. We require at least two years full time experience or equivalent in high volume kitchens.
BenefitsStarting salary between $70,000 AND $75,000 plus super, depending on experience
Task & Responsibilities- preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and marinating food
- cooking and serving food, while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff
- maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen
- creating new dishes and planning menus
- ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation
- hiring and training junior chefs
At leasr an AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above
