The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand. A leader in the mental health sector, the College works to prepare medical specialists in the field of psychiatry, support and enhance clinical practice, advocate for people affected by mental illness and advise governments on mental health care. 

Position overview

This newly created position will coordinate all aspects of the Certificate ofPostgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry (the Certificate) with one direct report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and provision of timely and accurate advice and communications to key stakeholders regarding Certificate regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and provide support to the Administrator, Certificate of Post Graduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry position.
  • Development of briefing papers, relevant reports and recommendations for the Certificate.
  • Coordination of marketing activities for the Certificate, including but not limited to engagement with other Specialist Medical Colleges and attendance at conferences to promote the program. 
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Digital Education Services to identify improvements for online administration systems and coordinate implementation of system updates.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in health, tertiary student administration, education, or postgraduate education or membership-related role.
  • Experience in Project Management, high-level administration and process improvement.
  • Sound understanding of the Australian health system or post-graduate medical education, or specialist medical training.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, establish priorities, and work to tight and competing deadlines.
  • Eligibility Requirement: Applicants must be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
