About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Coordinator City Events. In this role, you will work at both a strategic and operational level, leading a dedicated team of professionals to deliver large-scale and diverse community events. From festivals to cultural celebrations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each event is executed with precision, professionalism, and safety in mind.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Lead and supervise a team of professionals
- Plan, coordinate and execute city-run events
- Assist community groups in successfully delivering their own events
- Ensure that events are professionally delivered and meet community and Council expectations

What we’re looking for:
- Qualification plus significant experience in events management
- Demonstrated experience delivering a range of small to large scale community events
- Pro-active and hands-on approach to events delivery with a focus on assessing and mitigating risk
- Highly developed organisational and leadership skills
- Exceptional communication skills to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
