Coordinator Compliance and Regulation
Permanent Full-time Opportunity - 19-day 4-week cycle.
Salary Package up to $164,000 including super, vehicle and market allowance.
Market Allowance negotiated with the preferred applicant based on competency skills and experience.
Lease Back Vehicle Option Available.

The Opportunity
The position of Coordinator Compliance and Regulation actively co-ordinates the business functions associated with:

Ranger Services including parking compliance, animal control and community education, illegal dumping, environmental pollution compliance, and local law enforcement.

Development Compliance - ensure compliance with statutory controls, adopted policy positions and conditions of development consent, undertaking investigations, and compliance actions relating to development and environmental matters, and extractive industry annual inspection programs to ensure that environmental controls are maintained, and contributions are levied in accordance with approvals.

About You

  1. Tertiary Qualifications in Regulatory Compliance or significant experience in compliance or a related area.
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial position of Local Council with experience of leadership of a small to medium multidisciplinary team of technical professionals.
  3. Proven experience in professional development and team capacity building.
  4. Demonstrated experience in financial management including budget preparation and managementof adopted financial management plans and associated modelling. Demonstrated experience inforecasting projected annual revenue targets and operational expenditure.
  5. Demonstrated ability to handle a high workload in an efficient and professional manner.
  6. Demonstrated extensive technical knowledge of relevant statutory frameworks including technical standards relating to Companion Animals Management, Environmental Compliance and Pollution,
  7. Illegal Dumping, Noxious Weeds, Stock Control, Parking and Local Laws Enforcement.
  8. Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external and to negotiate outcomesand resolve conflict.
  9. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Development consents etc and an understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
