Coordinator Development Integrity
About the position:
The Coordinator Development Integrity plays a crucial role in ensuring that development within the City is fit for purpose whilst meeting the demands of legislation and community expectations. As our city grows it is essential that development controls are maintained to ensure that we progress in a coordinated, managed and sustainable manner.
The City is committed to work with and support residents and stakeholders in bringing their development plans to fruition. The Coordinator Development Integrity will guide customers whilst ensuring observance with community values, City values and legislative controls, and initiating action where project do not meet these requirements.
Within the Regulatory Services branch, the Coordinator provides leadership to a small team tasked with ensuring developments meet the desired outcomes and deliver positive results for the development industry, residents and the City.
Key accountabilities:
- To seek out best practice processes and initiate actions to support developments to meet community, City and Legislative requirements.
- Provide leadership, guidance and direction to team members to maximise performance and productivity through mentoring, coaching, training, development and performance management.
- Effectively liaise with relevant stakeholders, providing expert advice and specialist support in the delivery, review, investigation and/or resolution of compliance matters.
- Undertake investigations and inspections to assess compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policy, recommending and implementing appropriate actions to ensure ongoing compliance.

Position requirements:
The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications in a compliance/legal/investigative-driven field, with proven experience researching, interpreting and applying legislation to achieve compliance outcomes. Previous local government experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $107,579 per annum or $54.4430 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
