Provide Executive Officer and operational business support to the Director
Triage, and provide early intervention, support and advice to students at risk
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team committed to supporting student success
The RoleThis position is responsible for providing triage and first point of contact support in the management, assessment, referral and support of confidential student matters referred to the Student Life Directorate, and assists senior staff in strategically addressing systemic issues identified as a result. The coordinator provides Executive Officer Support to relevant committees and panels, and manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Director, Student Life. The position is often the first contact point for confidential and sensitive critical issues and incidents that arise relating to students, and therefore requires a person confident to work in an environment of changing demands and conditions. During absences of the Director, Student Life, the Coordinator will assess the severity of issues and refer them to the appropriate senior Manager in Student Life or another appropriate senior staff member.If you are enthusiastic and results-oriented and are looking to join a dynamic team with a wide range of service delivery, check the position description to see if you are the person we are looking for. The successful candidate will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and considerable work experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience in a high-level support role to a senior executive in a medium to large, complex organisation.
Experience triaging and responding to sensitive, confidential, and challenging conduct within a relevant context .
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of relationships, internally and externally
Flexibility, be adaptive and have experience working with or, as a member of a multi-disciplinary leadership team
Relevant experience in providing proactive, high level administrative and Executive Officer Support
The ability to manage varied and conflicting demands and knowledge of how to seek solutions for complex matters
Well developed skills in modern technology, systems, web and communications including accessing data for reporting purposes
Analytical abilities, understanding of data for reporting purposes, attention to detail and use of initiative
