AddressBicton Travel is now seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant/Coordinator for an immediate start.
Initial 6 month contract (maternity leave cover) with the possibility of extension. Part-time experienced applicants may also be considered.
This position includes executing targeted marketing strategies and developing direct to consumer marketing designed to increase business revenue, while promoting both Bicton Travel and Claremont Cruise & Travel Centre as leading Travel Agencies.
Job description
- Lead marketing projects and initiatives to drive engagement with our target audience
- Communicate with suppliers to create and execute co-operative campaigns
- Produce marketing collateral and digital content, with a strong emphasis on copywriting and editing
- Coordinate and manage events, partnerships, and collaborations designed to drive sales and enhance sales activity
- Design and oversee the development of copywriting, content, creative and presentation requirements. Produce brand aligned promotional documents and write creative briefs
- Monitor digital channel performance and industry best practice trends to evaluate digital activities
- Marketing ad hoc projects as directed
- Attend relevant industry events as directed, representing Bicton Travel
- Effective management of the Bicton Travel brand.
Skills Required
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a marketing / communications role
- Relevant qualification in communications, marketing, travel/tourism or public relations is essential
- High level of written communication skills with experience writing for various marketing channels, ie. website, social media, direct to consumer email, search, print advertising.
- High level computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems, and experience operating online marketing channels including social media platforms
- Must have strong organisational and time management skills, an ability to work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail
- Design experience a plus (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
- Must be confident working alone and as part of a team
- Able to efficiently multitask and manage competing deadlines
- Travel industry experience preferred, but not required.
