A bit about the role
As the Coordinator Litter Management within the Sustainability and Waste Department of Casey City Council's City Planning and Infrastructure Division, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the council's Litter Management services.
Reporting to the Head of Waste Education and Litter Enforcement, you will apply fresh eyes to how we currently provide litter services across the organisation by gathering data and information before leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive service delivery model. This role will draw on your established inter-personal skills to identify all key stakeholders and work with to unpack all the intricate details of how litter services are delivered and could be improved in the future.
What you’ll deliver
- Map the current state of Council’s litter service delivery, collating and analysing data obtained through research, stakeholder interviews, and service performance metrics.
- Analyse data critically and leverage industry expertise to develop innovative strategies for litter prevention, aiming to establish a future service model that surpasses industry standards in Litter Management for Casey.
- Develop a compelling business case for efficient delivery of innovative litter prevention strategies within the associated budget.
- Prepare a report for Council on the outcomes of investigations including clear recommendations for Casey’s future Litter Management.
- Identify issues and develop effective solutions to improve Litter Management processes.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience aligned with the role's requirements.
- Understanding of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and best practices in Litter Management.
- Ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from start to finish.
- Proficiency in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
- Experience in managing budgets, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective operations and create reports.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check.
