About the role
We have an exciting opportunity in our Northeast office to lead the Planning team in the role of Coordinator - Planning. This position coordinates the organisation's regional wood production program to achieve its commitments to customers while maximising financial returns. The Coordinator Planning leads a team of 5 to prepare plans and coordinate resources (internal and external) to meet the businesses contracted wood supply requirements.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in at our Perth (Launceston) Office. The role will see the successful person spending their time between the field and office providing the successful applicant a great variety of work! Some intrastate travel will be required on occasion.
About you
Importantly, as the Coordinator Planning you will have:
- Degree or Diploma in relevant industry qualification or demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Able to undertake the Cert IV in Leadership and Management
- Achieve Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS) or its replacement
- Complete and maintain Forest Practices Officer (Planning) accreditation
- Able to use computer-based systems to meet reporting requirements and to organise workload and meet timeframes
- Able to develop working relationships with contractors and customers, meet customer business requirements whilst ensuring that supply and quality specifications are met
- Sound knowledge of commercial forestry practices, logging principles and operations including safety, environment protection and contract management
