Manage the administrative processes and operations of accommodation services at Charles Darwin University (CDU)


About the Position
As the Coordinator Residential Services, you will be responsible for the administration and wellbeing of residents across accommodation facilities at CDU, this will include all aspects of admissions, oversight of individual welfare and support, and the fostering and maintenance of a safe and harmonious environment within which community spirit can grow. You will supervise the Resident Engagement Officer (REO) and Resident Leader team and work closely with Student Support staff within CDU’s Student Engagement division. 

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Completion of or progress towards a post-graduate degree and/or a combination of extensive related experience and/or education and training 
  • Excellent management skills and capacity to provide leadership and direction to staff and Resident Leaders
  • Proven skills in creating and managing administrative policy and procedure to achieve desired outcomes and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to build collaborations within the IHD community and with other stakeholders, including the broader CDU community, to enhance the reputation and standing of IHD.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, solve complex problems and deal effectively and sensitively with stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and assist with empathy in the welfare of students from diverse geographic, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds, whilst maintaining confidentiality and objectivity
  • Proven ability to administer and maintain high moral, ethical and student conduct standards when working with necessary grievance procedures to remedy conduct violations.
  • Advanced computer and presentation skills that include the use of Microsoft Office and databases.

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 8/9. The base salary will be in the range of $102,831 to $126,324 annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $120,312 to $147,799 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
