This Coordinator Special Projects is a new role at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. This vacancy presents an existing opportunity for someone with project management, paralegal or business improvement experience who is looking for a challenging new job, exposure to a dynamic workplace and career development.
You will work with the Executive Manager Governance and Risk Services to deliver projects including development of operating systems, internal audit projects, databases and registers, compilation of data, performance oversight, business improvement initiatives and policy development.
Your role will require you to build relationships with officers across the organisation to assist in identification of areas for policy update, process improvement and break down of organisational silos. You will also assist the Governance team with the development and implementation of an internal training program and undertake sound change management strategies throughout all aspects of your work.
We are seeking someone who is organised, efficient, able to manage their own workload, take initiative and be an energetic member of our close-knit team in the Office of the CEO.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment while delivering work on time, to a high standard and with attention to detail. You will be able to think critically, problem solve and strategise on both localised and organisational levels.
Local government experience will be highly regarded but is not required.
Salary and Benefits
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position ranges between $107,067 - $113,400 per annum
