Essential:- Tertiary qualifications in Arboriculture (minimum Certificate V) or equivalent
- Demonstrated understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Trees (Disputes between Neighbours) Act 2006, Rural Fires Act 1997, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and Biosecurity Act 2015
- Experience in leading a team of specialised staff and staff development
- Experience in the preparation of tender specifications, contracts, service agreements and the ability to achieve outcomes within budget and to defined timeframes/service levels
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contract management and project management
- Ability to review processes and procedures applied to improve service delivery
- Ability to write analytical and logical reports drawing justified conclusions
Desirable:- Post graduate qualifications/training in a related management field
- Understanding of local government procedures and statutory requirements
- Experience with Asset Management Software and GIS
