Corporate Accountant

MARS are proudly partnering with a reputable manufacturing company that have a strong presence in the Australian market. They have a talented team that pride themselves on providing qualitative products and services to their expansive customer base.

They're looking to hire a Corporate Accountant to join their high performing team on a permanent basis, playing a pivotal role in supporting the financial accounting and reporting functions.

The Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting and reporting procedures, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Carry out financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities, presenting results to management and providing insightful recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect financial data for accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist with the day-to-day operations including month-end closing, reconciliations, and assigned accounting tasks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assist in ad hoc improvement projects focused on enhancing financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Identify opportunities to develop and implement finance processes to enhance efficiency and internal controls.

The Requirements:

• Hold a bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification.
• 3+ years' experience in accounting, either in commercial, business services or audit environment.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, month/year-end close and audit.
• Confident in Microsoft Excel (essential) and experience in Microsoft Dynamics (beneficial).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and implement improvements to existing processes and procedures.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is beneficial.

To Note:

• Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this role.
• They operate in their Greenacre office 5 days a week.
• There is free parking provided on-site.
