About the role
Renewal SA has an exciting and fulfilling career opportunity for a Corporate Management Accountant to join our Business Planning and Partnering team within the Commercial and Business Services division. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the role will primarily be responsible for supporting the consolidated budgeting and management reporting activities for Renewal SA whilst preparing and delivering the analysis of accurate and insightful financial information.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake a range of analyses to be incorporated into the monthly financial reports for the board and executive to provide insight into business performance.
- Support preparation of financial information and five-year Budget and Monitoring System journals for submission to the Department of Treasury and Finance as part of the State Budget and associated processes.
- Provide financial support to assigned business areas with monthly variance analysis of expenditure against budget/forecast.
- Provide support and analysis as required for incoming queries from other government agencies and internal stakeholders.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced corporate accountant who can demonstrate experience in:
- Management accounting, budgeting and reporting in a medium to large organisation
- Preparation of written reports and advice
- Interpreting and applying Australian Accounting Standards
- Demonstrated experience in the following areas is desirable but not essential:
- South Australian Government budgeting systems and processes.
- South Australian Government financial approval processes
Qualifications:
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Economics
- CA/CPA qualification/s or working towards completion
