This role is for a proactive Cost Reporting Analyst to provide cost reporting information to Senior Management across Santander UK and Santander Group. You will assist the Cost Reporting Manager in overseeing the aggregation of cost performance reporting, analysis of key trends and deep dives as required.
This is a great role to increase your exposure in the bank; you'll be a key link between the finance business partners, the business, UK Finance teams and Group. This will include working together with these stakeholders to provide clear and user-friendly reporting and interpretation of costs. You'll need to be a confident self-starter who can take a holistic view of the bank as a whole and explain complex issues clearly and succinctly.
The difference you'll make.
Ensuring delivery of regular cost reporting to the business
Enhancing reporting and analysis capability to identify key trends and issues requiring management attention
Producing key reports for Finance management and Internal customers explaining cost performance against plans and emerging trends
Informing the Group on cost reporting submissions and requests, with focus on Technology & Operational (TyO) costs
Delivering robust cost reporting processes, ensuring it remains relevant and fit for purpose across the Santander UK Group as requirements change, and understand drivers of cost performance and provide insight to Senior Management
Working with the cost data team to constantly enhance cost reporting data
What you'll bring.
Excellent communication skills, analytical skills & excel modelling experience
Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with Senior Managers, within and outside Finance through personal credibility and delivery of results
It would also be nice for you to have.
Experience working in cost teams in financial services, with an understanding of the operational cost base of these organisations
Change management and influencing
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, individually and as part of a team
Strong team work ethic (support and collaboration) within a team to meet month-end deliverables

This is a full-time permanent contracting offering flexible working between home and the office.
