The Opportunity
We are currently hiring for a Course Coordinator. This role is an important part of the design, development, and delivery of an award course, ensuring a high standard of support for the enrolled students. The contribution required in this role will be at the undergraduate level (AQF 7). Additionally, this role will handle the academic and administrative tasks essential for the course’s consistent delivery.
Key Objectives
- Enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in the course through monitoring evaluation and recommending appropriate strategies in response to feedback.
- Independent teaching in tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations and workshops in accordance with the approved Unit Outlines and the Institute's academic policies and procedures.
- Initiation and development of unit material.
- Marking and assessment connected with units they are engaged to teach.
- Utilise your teaching and/or research experience to provide quality education experiences to students.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A doctoral qualification appropriate to numeracy/mathematics education or a closely related field.
- A record of research/creative works or professional activity relevant to the discipline, which demonstrate a capacity to make an autonomous contribution.
- Evidence of the delivery of high-quality student-centered learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and independently in an academic setting with an outcomes-oriented focus.
