Are you looking for rewarding work that enriches the lives of others?The Accessibility Skills Training (AST) division of WISE Employment is looking for a Course Coordinatorin Echuca who will help in providing meaningful participation, training and employment pathways for people living with disability or disadvantage.

Access Skills Training (AST) offers a range of training options for students and employers that match targeted industry needs and support excellent pathways to industry and further education. Offering a range of short, certificate and diploma courses that teach practical skills and knowledge, AST provides training locally, regionally and interstate.

The Course Co-ordinator will support the Training Manager and Trainers in planning, designing and documenting course delivery. This includes working with Trainers and industry representatives to identify training needs, discussing and agreeing on a suitable delivery methodology and marketing courses and creating and updating the key documentation in order for courses to commence and continue. The Course Co-ordinator is also responsible for supporting the Trainers to monitor all learner progress within the prospective courses and
report on student engagement through each student’s learning journey.

In this role, you will:
  • Carry out role in accordance with AST’s Business Teaching Rules for the current year
  • Agree suitable and appropriate training courses for prospective clients and students
  • Market courses and implement information sessions to prospective students
  • Prepare Training and Assessment Strategies, Course Delivery Plans and Product Information Disclosure Statements to ensure all prospective students are aware of all aspects of their training course
  • Support the Training Support Services team to ensure course information is current, accurate and correctly loaded onto AST’s Student Management System (aXcelerate)
  • Support Trainers by reporting student progress each month to the Data Integrity Officer in order for successful claims to be made and reported on
  • Support the implementation of Learner Satisfaction / Feedback Surveys at mid-year and end of year of the course
  • Participate in moderation/validation process as directed by the Training Manager
  • Identify and promote networking opportunities with industry and business
  • Attendance at staff/trainer meetings
  • Attendance at internal staff professional development activities
  • Participation in external meetings and promotions as directed
  • Undertake Professional Development to ensure own industry and educational skills, knowledge and experience are maintained\
  • Actively contribute to the development of a culture consistent with the values of AST
  • Be proactive in risk identification, notification and management
  • Contribute to continuous quality and service delivery improvement through the organisation
What will you bring to the role?

Essential Criteria
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40110 with relevant unit upgrades or its successor)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training packages and how they’re constructed
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake effective work planning and manage own work priorities and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Sound computer skills with attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and work within computer systems and databases
  • Demonstrated commitment, alignment and role modelling of AST’s values.
  • Full working rights, ability to satisfy national police check and Working with Children Check requirement
  • Ability to meet NDIS Workers' Screening requirements
Desirable Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching VET courses
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within regulatory compliance expectations in the vocational education and training sector, such as Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Standards for RTOs 2015
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience delivering qualifications and/or programs that are funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training
