Creative DirectorAutomotive Industry

Are you passionate about building lifestyle brands that inspire customers? Do you have a knack for developing creative content that captures attention and drives sales? Chief Products is seeking an experienced Creative Director to execute the brand's creative vision. This full-time role will be located at our head office in Mudgeeraba, QLD and will include the following duties and responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conceptualisation: Generate original ideas and concepts for advertising campaigns and branding initiatives, working closely with company directors to achieve well-defined goals.
  • Campaigns: Create visually stunning and captivating campaigns across various channels, including print, digital, e-mail, social media, and video.
  • Project Management: Oversee creative projects from conception to completion, managing timelines, resources, and budgets. Ensure projects stay on target and integrate with overall company objectives.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality and consistency in creative work, providing feedback and ensuring deliverables meet high standards.
  • Brand Management: Develop and execute the brand's creative vision, ensuring alignment with visual guidelines and strategic global objectives across all touchpoints.
  • Reporting: Deliver detailed reporting on project timelines, budget utilisation, creative output, customer feedback, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Departmental Development: Develop workflows, systems, policies, and talent to ensure departmental goals are achieved. Proactively looking for ways to streamline and improve.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, ensure campaigns are fresh and engaging, and the brand is well positioned.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, finance, etc.) to ensure customer and market sentiment is driving key interdepartmental processes. Utilise insights gained to create compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
  • External Agencies: Collaborate with external agencies (advertising firms, design studios, production houses, etc.) to execute creative projects. Clearly communicate project objectives, providing creative direction, establishing timelines, managing budgets, and reviewing and approving deliverables.
  • Content Creation: Conceptualise and manage content creation projects related to product launches, events, and advertising campaigns. This involves story boarding, managing talent (photographers, cinematographers, models, etc.) and reviewing deliverables to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and meets project goals.
  • Social Media: Manage social media properties (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Facebook Groups, Instagram, etc.). Engage with followers, track mentions, and utilise customer engagement to improve campaign effectiveness. 
  • Marketing Assets: Manage creative assets to ensure they meet high-standards and can be deployed effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Creative Director role for a reputable global brand.
  • At least 5 years of experience building customer engagement for a lifestyle brand.
  • A results-driven approach and a proven track record of success.
  • A genuine lifestyle interest in motorsport, off-roading, camping or outdoor activities (surf, skate, motocross, mountain biking, rock climbing, etc.).
  • Experience in one of the following industries; 4x4 accessories, automotive, outdoor lifestyle or action sports (surf, skate, motocross, mountain biking, camping, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Expert-level design skills and a portfolio that reflects these abilities.
  • Highly developed communication and organisational skills with extreme attention-to-detail.
  • To fit with our company culture (and brand ethos) it is critical that you are; kind, positive minded, and highly motivated in your pursuit for growth.
  • Expert-level proficiency with the Adobe Software Suite.
  • A positive approach that is highly focused on creating win-win solutions for our co-marketing partners.
HIGHLY REGARDED ATTRIBUTES
  • A genuine lifestyle interest in motorsport, off-roading, camping or outdoor activities (surf, skate, motocross, mountain biking, rock climbing, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of off-road culture, 4x4 accessories, and the target market.
  • Experience working with Digital Asset Management Software (Brandfolder, Bynder, etc.).
  • Experience working with Product Information Management Software (Salsify, Plytix, etc.).
  • Experience with Shopify Plus E-Commerce Platform.
  • Experience with E-Mail Marketing Automation Software (Klaviyo, DotDigital, etc.).
  • Experience with Social Media Management Software (Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Experience managing Brand Ambassadors and Social Media Influencers.
  • Experience utilising the latest AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to achieve departmental goals.
