Located in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs, this business is presently looking for a talented and ambitious Credit Manager to come on board and lead a team. Offering hybrid working arrangements with a people first culture, this retail business is seeking an experienced candidate with leadership experience or a Senior Credit Controller looking for their next step.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, and overseeing a credit team of 3, you will be responsible for:
- Manage the credit function, including collection activity of the team
- Manage your own ledger of accounts and perform credit duties
- Implement new strategies to reduce time between service delivery and cash receipt
- Analyse pre-existing processes and procedures
- Conduct continuous due diligence on credit processes
- Educate and train leaders in best practice credit management concepts, controls and collection activities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across the business alongside external stakeholders
- Facilitate closer relationships with Finance and the wider business
- Month end and year end reporting
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for this position will require the following experience and skills:
- Extensive experience in a similar senior credit or credit management position within a medium scale organisation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team
- Ability to delegate coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to manage upwards and downwards with a diverse range of stakeholders
- A strong strategic partner to work within an environment that supports their employees
- Experience with a large ERP system
