About the role
Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Credit Manager plays an integral role within the business. This role is responsible for all aspects of customer credit management.
Your key duties will include:
- Assessment of all new account applications according to company policy, including credit reference checks, searches, securities and financial analysis to determine credit risk.
- Managing customer credit, ensuring customers are adhering to payments terms and credit limits.
- Timely collection of outstanding accounts.
- Account maintenance and dispute resolution.
- Conduct periodic credit reviews of customer accounts.
- Proactively taking remedial action on customer accounts when required.
- Communicating with all stakeholders, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Reporting on aged debtors listing.
What we’re looking for
The successful applicant for this role will have:
- Credit management qualifications and experience is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong customer focus
- Ability to resolve problems.
- Ability to engage and negotiate with customers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Corporations Law and Securities.
- Working as part of a team.
- Experience in the Finance or Banking Industry, highly regarded.
