Credit Manager

About the Role

As our Lending Manager within our Credit Risk team, you’ll be at the forefront of assessing high-volume Equipment Finance transactions. Your role is critical in overseeing the more complex credit applications and providing support to our brokers and introducers with assessments and recommendations, whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.

This position requires a deep understanding of credit risk assessment – preferably within Equipment Finance realm - and financial analysis, as well as strong local market knowledge to support business targets for new business, portfolio growth, and credit quality. You will work closely with your leader and team to align with the broader BOQ Group’s work and contribute to our culture of agility and learning.

We are seeking a professional with a proven track record in credit and/or risk assessment, financial analysis and previously held  a lending delegation.. As this role is working predominantly in Equipment Finance, we are ideally seeking someone who has exposure within this space or similar experience.

Ideally, you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to apply sound commercial judgment. Your effective communication skills will enable you to support both our team and our customers, ensuring that we meet our business targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.

The role requires an individual with a clear and balanced communication style, capable of explaining and rationalizing credit decisions to external stakeholders while maintaining positive relationships. You’ll recognise your strengths in problem-solving, have a meticulous attention to detail, and enjoy the freedom of working autonomously.
