About the role
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead our Data Risk Minimisation project. You'll partner with all divisions to manage project delivery and achieve desired strategic and tactical business outcomes. This will include managing the scope, schedule, financials, risks, quality, and resources of projects to organisational standards and in line with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) Framework.
The project will involve:
- Reviewing the current state of data management practices regarding collection and storage of personal identity and payment card data.
- Reviewing systems that store this data to explore opportunities for making the data safer and more secure.
- Working with external vendors to assess and monitor our high risk and prioritised systems to determine remediation actions.
- Leading remediation activities where there may be data security risks such as system changes, access controls, hiding/removal of data.
- Providing education, training, and guidance on reducing the future risk of data collection and storage.
Core responsibilities of the role:
- Managing all aspects within the project management lifecycle which will include coordinating business cases and project plans, identifying and allocating resources, developing and managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements.
- Developing strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of all aspects of project implementation
- Leading and managing project teams to successfully deliver all key objectives, milestones, deliverables and outcomes.
- Managing relationships and communications with key stakeholders
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance with established standards and assurance stage requirements
About you
Essential:
- Extensive experience in a project management role in medium to large projects using Waterfall, Agile or hybrid methodologies in a financial services industry organisation or equivalent.
- Experience in data and risk management is desirable.
- Experience working with tier 1 vendors / outsourced services.
- Demonstrable experience managing and overseeing the development and monitoring of project plans, resources, reporting, risks and budgets.
- Experience managing end-to-end project life cycle process from project identification and scoping through development of business cases and project plans to executing and closing projects.
Qualifications and Memberships
- Degree/Diploma in relevant studies (business/commerce, technology, engineering and/or Project, Portfolio and Program management)
- Project management and/or finance related qualifications (desirable)
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (highly desirable)
- Agile certification (desirable)
