How will I help?

The Account Manager role involves actively managing a portfolio of sub-standard and impaired assets with below-average credit risk.

Key responsibilities include direct engagement with customers and their advisers to understand individual account circumstances and collaborate on solutions. Close collaboration with credit risk personnel and systems to ensure accurate account management and monitoring of customer risk profiles. Preparation of high-quality reports, including credit submissions and briefing papers, for senior management and relevant board committees. Approval of credit decisions and exercise of expense delegations within delegated authorities, based on thorough risk assessment. Engagement with external advisors such as insolvency firms and lawyers to develop credit risk management strategies, including recommendations on provisioning. Identification of opportunities for process and procedure improvement, and participation in ad hoc projects and support, coaching, and mentoring of credit analysts within the organisation to enhance their skills and development.

Overall, the Account Manager is essential for maintaining the health of the portfolio and ensuring effective risk management strategies are in place.
