ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Crewing Coordinator is responsible for providing safe and effective rosters for One Rail Australia (the Company) employees within the NSW Operation. They will ensure compliance to the Company’s Enterprise Agreements, rail safety legislation and fatigue management policies and procedures. This role will also provide data and analytic support to the operations team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for preparing rosters, including leave rosters, for Locomotive Drivers based in the NSW Operation.
- Ensuring that rosters are prepared in the most efficient and economical manner and are in line with rostering principles.
- Maintain compliance with the Company’s Enterprise Agreements and fatigue management policies and procedures.
- Monitor and arrange for deployment of Locomotive Drivers to meet operational demands as required.
- Ensure all rosters are assessed in line with the company's fatigue management procedure.
- Undertake rostering projects as required.
- Weekly processing and validation of drivers' timesheets and management of leave.
- Coordinate assessments and training requirements in consultation with Training Department and Driver Coordinator’s.

So, what do you need?
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to Rostering Software preferably Time2Work
- Action orientated and able to influence effectively and consult widely
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot challenges as they arise
- Able to plan and manage time effectively, with flexibility
- Excellent work ethics e.g. punctuality and integrity
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Desirable
- Qualifications in Logistics or related discipline
- Have appropriate experience and knowledge of the rail industry
- Knowledge and understanding of the Hunter Valley Network
