The Department
Sandringham Radiology offers a state of the art Radiology service, to the community of Sandringham and surrounding suburbs. We provide a comprehensive range of medical diagnostic services - General x-ray, CT, Fluoroscopy, Theatre and Ultrasound - including limited interventional techniques.
Position Summary
You will be responsible for the day to day running of, staff training and maintanence of the CT scanner at Sandringham Hospital. You will assist the Grade 4 CT Supervisor in the coordination of CT services and support staff in providing the best possible radiographic examinations, whilst ensuring patient comfort, welfare and safety in accordance with established radiographic practice, ethics and code of conduct. You will establish and update protocols in conjunction with the Grade 4 CT Supervisor/Radiation Safety Officer/Chief Radiographer and Radiology Nurse Manager.
Interested applicants should also fit the following criteria which are considered highly desirable in a Grade 3 CT Supervisor position

• Experienced in the day to day running and maintanence of a CT scanner
• A willingness to participate in the training and assessment of students, interns, and radiographers in CT, providing direct supervision and aid at all times
• Proven ability to perform high-end /complex CT exams and procedures
• A postgraduate qualification in CT would be advantageous

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations or equivalent
• Eligibility for A.S.M.I.R.T. Statement of Compliance
• National Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist
• Victorian Department of Health Use Licence
• Evidence of CPD in line with registration requirements
• Good communication skills
• Team Worker
