We are a contemporary design practice with over 35 years’ experience in architecture, urban design, master planning, and interior architecture. The practice has a firmly established state and national reputation. Our medium sized studio is located in Northbridge, and our staff contribute to an active, friendly and socially engaged workplace.

We also meaningfully contribute to local communities and our in-house art gallery, Wallace, reflects our long standing connection and support of the arts community.
The Role
The Culture and Studio Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, facilitate events management for studio-based talks and gallery openings, assist the leadership team with ongoing practice efficiencies and improvements, and manage employee relations and positive studio culture. The role is central to the smooth running of the practice and requires working alongside other administrative and management positions. Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop the part time Studio Assistant, and work alongside the Directors and Associates to create an effective studio management team
- Ensure a friendly, efficient and professional front of house is provided for the studio, reflecting our values and our style
- Oversee facilities management and contribute to studio operational efficiencies
- Support the Directors with HR management, recruitment, workplace policies and procedures
- Work with the practice accountant to record expenses where required and meet budgets
- Work alongside the Graphics team to promote the studio brand, and help create efficiencies in data storage and retrieval for marketing and project tenders.
- Support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining studio procedures to meet certification requirements
- Support the IT Manager and wider studio team with basic AV set up for presentations, online meetings and remote workflows
- Events management for studio culture and training, and management of our in-house art gallery under direction of the Wallace Editorial Board
- Champion sustainability measures within the studio in keeping with our Carbon Neutral certification
- Nurture staff engagement with culture building and performance management tools and techniques
- Assist with diary management via Outlook, and preparation of documents via Word and Excel

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in office management / managing small to medium sized teams
- Experienced with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Sharepoint
- Willingness to understand and engage with our Studio brand and design DNA
Desirable
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in arts management or similar creative enterprises
- An interest in art/design/fashion/creative industry
