RSPCA Victoria is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Customer Care Officer to join our team! In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital role in providing a high level of service to the public and assisting with animal admissions, adoptions, and reclaims.

What you'll do
- Welcome and assist the public with enquiries, animal adoptions, surrenders, and reclaims during shelter hours – 7 days per week, in a Part Time capacity.
- Contribute to the daily care and welfare of animals entering and leaving our shelters.
- Educate and guide the public on responsible pet ownership and RSPCA Victoria's services.
- Ensure all customer interactions and animal records are accurately documented.
- Work collaboratively with team members across all departments in a positive and inclusive environment.
What we're looking for
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including public holidays in a Part Time capacity.
- Previous experience in animal care or customer service (highly desirable).
- Basic knowledge of animal anatomy, behaviour, and safe handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Commitment to animal welfare and RSPCA Victoria's mission.
- Team player with a collaborative spirit.
- Holds or is willing to complete a Certificate II in Animal Studies or Customer Service (or equivalent) will be highly regarded, however not essential.

Recruitment Requirements
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- A current tetanus vaccination (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including public holidays in a Part Time capacity.
