We are an Australian owned, import/distribution company working in the manufacturing sector. The company has been operating for 20 years and is based in Dandenong South with warehouses in most mainland capital cities.
We are seeking a dynamic person with strong CUSTOMER SERVICE / office administration skills for our Dandenong South office. This is a key role where you will bring your attention to detail and can-do attitude to work side by side with existing team members. The role would suit someone who is self-motivated and enjoys a busy, varied role in a small friendly office.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Strong CUSTOMER SERVICE skills.
- Accurate processing of incoming customer orders into our ERP system.
- Provide a high level of support to customers including identifying customer’s needs, product support, and arrange delivery requirements via phone or email.
- Co-ordination of interstate deliveries with warehouses located in each state.
- Co-ordinate local transport to dispatch material.
- Advise Sales Managers if suitable material is not available to fulfil an order.
- Effectively control and manage the Consignment stock system.
- Some AR & AP entry to cover Office Managers annual leave.
- Cross checking and entry of local and interstate freight invoices.
- Liaise with internal purchasing to ensure client needs and deadlines are met.
- Support External (local and Interstate) Sales Managers
- Update and maintain internal databases
- Be able to, when required, to raise purchase orders when appropriate on both Local and Overseas Suppliers.
- Assist with other Administrative Tasks including purchasing, receipting, and allocating stock.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE.
- Experience in Customer Service/Admin/Internal Sales roles.
- Customer focus, with attention to detail.
- Highly motivated self-starter, eager to learn and adapt quickly.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector would be advantageous but not essential.
- ERP system knowledge is required; specific software training will be provided.
- Microsoft Office/Windows based system, specifically Word and Excel.
- An understanding of local and interstate transport and distribution would be an advantage.
- Strong Work Ethic and must be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work unsupervised and be decisive.
- Have a positive and flexible attitude and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
