Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) is the owner of the Brisbane Markets site in Rocklea and is responsible for its ongoing management and development, supporting Queensland’s horticulture industry.
BML’s Finance team is responsible for managing all financial transactions associated with over 270 leases, payment of all accounts, payroll processing, and associated financial reporting requirements.
The Role
We are seeking a full-time Finance Officer to join our Finance Department to provide the following support to the Finance team:
- Day to day financial processes such as AP, AR, processing of purchase orders and invoices, and generating payments.
- Assisting with the analysis of trends and expenditure including reviewing, maintaining and costing of service contracts.
- Day to day financial data maintenance including customer and supplier accounts, sales and purchase items, and fixed assets.
- Payroll processing.
- General support within the finance team.
The broad skillset required in this position requires the successful applicant to have demonstrated:
- experience in a similar role;
- a high level of interpersonal skills;
- a high level of attention to detail;
- a positive attitude to work and well-developed customer service skills;
- a willingness to follow instructions and seek guidance as required; and
- previous exposure to Microsoft Business Central, or similar financial system highly regarded.
