ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Service representative is responsible for the movement of cargo by building strong relationships with clients, maintaining all rates and client retention through exceptional Customer Service and transparency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain Portfolio of clients as assigned
- Monthly / Quarterly Rates maintenance
- Handling quotations, and costings to win business
- Handle customer enquiries and help as required whilst providing exceptional Customer Service
- Document all customer shipping enquiries and keep client updated of shipment progress, delays etc
- Data entry
- Conflict management
- Take responsibility for reviewing all customer purchase orders, telephone, over-the-counter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
- Respond to inbound and outbound customer contact
- Organise the international transfer of freight
- Professional phone manner
- Exposure and knowledge within Freight Forwarding
- Cargowise experience
- Minimum 2 years experience within International Freight Forwarding
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Analytical
