The Company:
Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd (CSD) was formed in 1967 shortly after the commencement of the Australian cotton industry for the purposes of promoting the development of agricultural resources. CSD’s core mantra continues to be the development and supply of quality cotton seed to Australian growers. A not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, CSD has grower and industry members and a Board of grower elected members plus independent appointed directors.
Through continuously investing in the research and development of new cotton seed varieties and developing agronomic tools and digital applications to support growers, CSD has partnerships with CSIRO under the Cotton Breeding Australia (a targeted research fund set up to facilitate the research and development of future cotton varieties for Australian growers) and other leading global companies and institutions to ensure Australian growers have timely access to the world’s best technologies. Their processing, R&D, farming, and head office facilities are based at Wee Waa in Northwest NSW. There is now an exciting opportunity to work as part of the team to deliver world leading solutions to Australian’s cotton industry.
The Role:
Reporting to the Inventory and Dispatch Manager, the Customer Service and Administration Officer will add value to CSD’s supply chain by providing superior client Service and attentive follow-up to a range of internal and external stakeholders. A key point of contact for suppliers, agents and end-users, the Customer Service and Administration Officer will provide logistics and general administrative support to operations, maintenance, inventory & dispatch, laboratory and CSD Farms. A dynamic role where no two days will be the same, you will thrive in this fast-paced yet supportive environment.
The Person:
To be considered for the role, candidates will possess:
A strong track-record gained in a Customer Service position
Proven Office (word/excel and Administration) skills – including invoicing
Experience working with ERP software
An ongoing commitment to standard operating procedures and safe work methods
Ability to manage fluctuating/seasonal workloads
