About the role

Steel Centre Mackay is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our tight-knit team where you will be delivering an outstanding customer experience.

This role offers a great opportunity for someone aiming to expand their Customer Service and sales experience while gaining a deeper understanding of estimating.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring customers receive excellent Customer Service
• Providing estimates and quotes for customers
• Process sales orders and coordinate with various internal teams to ensure estimates and projects are completed on time
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions using SAP

To be successful in this role you will be a motivated individual who thrives on building and maintaining relationships and is eager to learn.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience reading architectural/structural drawings (desirable)
• High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
• Experience working alongside customers face to face and over the phone
• A positive, can-do attitude
• A safety-oriented approach to your work
• Previous industry experience is not essential - if you want to learn, we want to hear from you!
