We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Customer Service Officer with the ability to go above and beyond providing exceptional customer focused logistic solutions in a fast-paced environment.
What will you be doing:
- Respond to customer enquires either by telephone, email, or face to face with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Assisting customers with a diverse range of queries including schedule interpretation, freight preparation, distribution and tracking of cargo.
- Generate customer quotes, prompt processing of consignments, invoices, and credits in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Work alongside Operations and Marine departments to efficiently plan and coordinate customer-based freight solutions.
- Undertake general reception tasks such as invoice reconciliation and stock ordering.
- Maintain and update live schedules via the website and issuing notices to customers and suppliers.
- Confident in handling customer grievances by establishing a sincere tactful approach.
- Assisting the Sales team with Ad hoc tasks
- Administration all-rounder (previous experience in freight logistics desirable)
- High level computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously across multiple software platforms.
- High level written & verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Open car licence (Highly desirable)
- Polite phone manner
- Experience in the CRM programme advantageous
