This recruitment pool will run for a period of twenty-four (24) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities at Various Metropolitan Magistrates Courts, Children’s Court, Coroners Court, Family Court, the State Administrative Tribunal and the Fines Enforcement Registry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing quality Customer Service to all internal and external customers. They provide an advisory service to all customers in relation to the practices and procedures specific to each jurisdiction and in some areas provide direct support services to the Judiciary.
The positions undertake a range of case management, information management and Customer Service tasks within a court or tribunals registry setting for civil and criminal jurisdictions and can also provide in court support to the judiciary. Applicants must also be able to learn how to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures within the business areas they are employed.
You will be required to attend to enquiries either in person or by telephone; assess and process applications; lodge documents into the court and tribunal’s database; liaise with the public, legal counsel, and court and tribunal users; prepare and check legal documents.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
