Officer Transport

.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start.Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will be required for supporting the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines.Duties and Responsibilities:Unload and load freight onto vehicles as required, including safe operation of ForkliftManually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniquesComplete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptlyEnsure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislationMaintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.Minimum Requirements:Previous experience within the transport and logistics industryEssential - hold a valid forklift ticketWorking knowledge of the Chain of ResponsibilityDemonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviours;A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast paced environment;Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skillsYour proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much valued employee in line with Barminco's values and 'can dot attitude. Hours of work are 7.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. A competitive remuneration will be offered according to your level of experience in supply roles and within the mining industry. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.
