Parks Victoria is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Customer Service Officers at Tidal River, located within the stunning Wilson's Promontory National Park. As a Customer Service Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the satisfaction and safety of park visitors while upholding the values of conservation and environmental stewardship.
Job Title: Customer Service Officer
Location: Tidal River, Wilson's Promontory National Park
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison and Communication: Engage with community groups, park visitors, and other customer segments to address inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner, fostering positive relationships and promoting a welcoming atmosphere within the park.
Booking Services: Efficiently process inquiries and bookings for various services, including weddings, school visits, general visits, and other requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Campsite and Accommodation Coordination: Coordinate the local updating and monitoring of Parkstay campsite and accommodation bookings, maintaining organized records and ensuring seamless visitor experiences.
Group Visits: Maintain records for school groups and other group visits as required, facilitating their experiences within the park and ensuring their needs are met.
Data Management: Ensure accurate capture and reporting of customer information as required, supporting operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
Specialized Duties: Be available to work at the light station to provide lighthouse tours and assist with housekeeping of cottages, including a 3 km walk to the site and overnight stays. Additionally, provide service to guests at the general store as needed.
Reception Duties: Provide reception duties as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of visitor services within the park.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in Customer Service roles, preferably within a tourism or hospitality environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, as well as the ability to stay overnight for specific duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Working With Childrens Check required
