About the role:
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the first point of contact for customers, including members of the public and Victorian community. You will professionally handle information requests and ensure that issues and enquiries are resolved promptly and thoroughly. In this role, you will identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact on the customer experience.
Working in a retail environment you will be responsible for reliably managing monitory transactions, taking park enquiries over the phone and reservations for our garden bus tours. Customer Services Officers are required to have an intimate knowledge and understanding of the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens and the surrounding Parks in the area. The position will represent Parks Victoria professionally at all times.
We're looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in Customer Service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in self-management
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A current employee Working with Children Check

About the Branch
The Commercial Directorate manages Parks Victoria's visitor based, revenue-generating activities at key regional and metropolitan sites across Victoria. The Directorate provides the strategies, specialist advice, business processes and systems to efficiently and effectively deliver core support services, enabling parks Victoria to enter into and manage all leases and licences (commercial, community and infrastructure) and other commercial activities over the parks estate.
The directorate aims to deliver sustainable financial returns through the provision of an enhanced visitor experience across Victoria's parks, and to support conversation for the benefit of the Victorian community.
