About this position
Our Customer Service team has a part-time vacancy requiring an individual who is available two days a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.00am to 2.30pm. This fixed-term position is available until late October 2024 and is classified as a Level 3 under the Enterprise Agreement.
As a Customer Service Officer you will be the first point of contact for our customers and will:
- Have a sound knowledge of the principles underpinning quality Customer Service
- Have an understanding of council and community needs
- Be an active listener, who demonstrates empathy and has great communication skills
- Enjoy providing assistance and advice across a broad range of topics, functions or issues
- Have the ability to problem solve and the tenacity to follow things through
- Thrive in a team environment and have a positive can-do attitude
The successful candidate will also have:
- Proven experience in a face-to-face Customer Service role
- Experience in cash handling/banking
- Have previous experience in Local Government or a sound understanding of the services Council provides.
To be successful, the candidate will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical, submit a police clearance and provide a copy of any relevant licenses/qualifications upon request.
