We are currently seeking applications to join our Governance, Risk and Assurance Services team as a Freedom of Information Officer at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of 12 months.
Remuneration: ASO4 – Salary Range ($75,430 - $ 79,070 p.a.).

About the opportunity:
This opportunity will provide you with experience in:
- Interpreting and applying legislative requirements to ensure adherence to and compliance with the FOI Act, including the provision of advice on the interpretation of the Act.
- Coordinating with DTF branches, and other external offices and entities, the accurate collection of Information, and analysing/assessing that information for appropriate disclosure.
- Preparing responses and reports, and applying strong communication, collaboration and engagement skills.

About you
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in interpreting and applying legislative requirements to ensure adherence and compliance, principally under the FOI Act, including the provision of high-level advice to decision-makers.
- Experience in working with confidential matters ensuring appropriate systems to safeguard information is in place.
- Experience in record keeping and the maintenance of Information registers for compliance purposes, and a demonstrated ability to use this information to prepare reports.
