Ellar is a family-owned veterinary wholesaler, that has a long history within the Veterinary Wholesaler space and has been providing great Customer Service since 1970. We strive to provide excellent service to our vet and veterinary practice clients.
As the Customer Service person – in this hybrid role you will be reporting to the Directors, working as part of a collaborative team committed to excellent service. You will have the skills and aptitude to deliver our valued customers excellent Customer Service whilst managing the day-to-day office duties. The Customer Service person will manage a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to client queries, provide advice, troubleshooting and call handling, as well as processing orders and conducting outbound sale calls utilising your administration and communication skills.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Answering customer calls to handle general product enquiries.
• Administration, order processing, email correspondence, data entry, procurement, supplier liaising.
• Outbound sales calls to existing customer base.
• Ensuring all client requests and orders are completed in line with company procedures.
• Managing and resolving customer enquiries to resolution or re-direct appropriately.
• Accurately manage and maintaining client records within systems.
• Demonstrating a sound knowledge of veterinary products to support clients with correct information.
• Manage day-to-day office operations, including office supplies procurement, maintenance of office equipment, and vendor management.
• Coordinate office space ensuring a productive and comfortable work environment.
• Support directors to manage relationships with external service providers, such as cleaning services, security firms, and maintenance contractors.
• Support directors to manage relationships with key business partners.
• Plan and coordinate business events, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
About You
Our ideal new team member will have:
- Excellent Customer Service skills and experience to deliver in a high service delivery model.
- Solid administration, data entry and order processing experience.
- Excellent communication, phone manner and written correspondence skills and experience.
- Strong team player with a high work ethic and ability to collaborate with broader teams.
- Animal Health, Veterinary Practice experience or Animal Health knowledge and training is highly desirable.
- Experience with systems and data bases (Odoo or SAP system experience well-regarded)
- Demonstrated ability to adequately manage time and competing objectives.
- Ability to prioritise, coordinate and complete follow up for internal and external customers.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to doing things correctly.
- Flexible and adaptable to change and working with new processes.
- A reliable team player, who thinks outside the square and innately take responsibility.
- Hold a current Victorian driver’s license.
