About Ironwood Australia Based in between the beautiful seaside town of Old Bar and Taree, Ironwood is Australia’s most sustainable environmentally friendly timber mill. They supply heavy industrial hardwoods from managed forests to wharf and bridge builders Australia wide.
In turn Ironwood recycle the hardwood which is being replaced in each project – and also re plant trees to replace what is being taken through their future forest replanting scheme. Ironwood also has firewood operations, a laminating plant and wood machining plant……and also supply locally for projects such as fencing and decking. Ironwood’s reputation is exceptional - State and Country wide – and they are continuously growing.
About the Role: This is a key role in the company as you will provide responsive and proactive Customer Service, Quoting and Ordering support services – Face to face, Phone and Email. You will draw on your natural engagement and interpersonal skills to interpret and confirm client requirements….
and then discuss product options with them to determine the best options to meet their outcomes……Provide pricing and processing the orders. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is process driven, enjoys interpreting and providing information, and thrives on regular people interaction. Skills and experience:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer focus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and products quickly.
- Solutions driven with an ability to discuss project requirements with customers and match products accordingly.
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks and deliver outcomes - Organised.
- High attention to detail and accurate – Ability to calculate lengths, weights/ densities, volumes etc.
- A positive, energetic and proactive personality – Motivated.
- Good computer skills eg Microsoft office suite
- Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment – Reliable.
