Quality Officer to join the team.The purpose of the
Quality Officer role is to develop and implement quality control and system compliance assessment processes across the range of Rail and Transit Systems -Through Life Support functions undertaken at our Auburn Maintenance Facility in Sydney.Some of the key responsibilities include developing and executing in-process quality control checks and internal audits for operations & contract deliverables and develop, manage and appropriately store, quality and compliance records from audits, non-conformances and inspections.
About you:- Trade qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical or other related disciplines)
- Qualified to conduct quality Audits and inspections
- Minimum 5-year experience working within a heavy maintenance / asset management environment (e.g. Railway, Aviation) preferably in Quality role
- Experience in conducting internal and supplier audit and facilitating External audits
- Ensure that business activities are guided by appropriate quality procedures, and where required, develop those quality procedures
- Extensive knowledge of Quality and Business Management System standards (ISO9001, ISO55001)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environment legislations; including Rail Safety Act
- Excellent negotiation skills to work through and resolve roadblocks or potential delays to the process.
- Excellent computer skills, expertise in MS Excel is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of Asset Management and Information System such as Maximo, SAP etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of Power Bi, Microsoft Power automate and SharePoint.
