As a result of this continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join our team located in Villawood, which will be relocating to our new state of the art Head Office at Yennora (due for completion in 2025).
The role will report to the Customer Service Manager and be responsible for delivering excellence in service by building solid relationships and providing exceptional communication and support. The Customer Service Specialist will focus on improving outcomes for both customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer order management including keying orders into the system and checking progress of orders
- Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) with any sales order queries
- Resolution of Customer Order issues and EDI errors
- Check accuracy of pricing, and monitor shipments of incoming goods
- Monitor and report on backorders, and notify customers of substitutions and updates on ETA's
- Arrange quotations for urgent delivery
- Manage goods return process and communicate credit holds
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop and meet supply chain strategies
Key Criteria:
- Demonstratable in-depth experience in a similar CS role
- Demonstrated knowledge of Customer Service functions
- Ability to develop and/or interpret CS policy, procedures, and processes
- High level of experience with ERP systems
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret complex data and documents
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive enquiries or complaints
- High Level Excel and ability to apply mathematical concepts
- Ability to persuade and influence others
- Highly motivated & driven with a problem-solving approach to tasks
