SalarySuncorp are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join their Asset Management team as a consultant. This role would be to support the Asset Management Team leader with the management of troublesome asset portfolios.
This role is based in Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis and offers a hybrid working model allowing you to work from both the office and the comfort of your own home.
What you'll do
- Ensure that effective arrears recovered, and accounts return to normal through the management of troublesome retail asset portfolios by applying recovery processes and procedures to high-risk customers and accounts.
- Determine the reason and causes for the delinquency for high-risk customers and accounts and take appropriate action to maximise the recovery of arrears.
- Extract budgetary information from customers to assess and confirm repayment arrangements.
- Assess and recommend the most appropriate course of action for the recovery of arrears given individual customer circumstances and refer to leader for approval of decisions.
- Issue statutory notices, liaise with insolvency administrators and instruct mercantile agents to conduct field calls.
- Prepare strategies detailing appropriate recovery options, specific provisions, and write off processes.
- Ensure compliance with policy and procedures, statutory and legal requirements in all recovery matters.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in collections would be beneficial
- Experience as a paralegal or repossession legal experience would be highly regarded
- Understanding in recoveries and workout methods and procedures.
- Business /commerce degree desirable for advancement.
- Understanding of various industry requirements and benchmarks.
- Banking and lending experience desired, not mandatory.
- Some understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which Banking Recovery must operate and constraints imposed by law.
- An understanding of the recovery process and procedures and relevant systems (Ignite, Hogan, Defaults and Recoveries Database and ALLFI) desired or ability to up skill on these.
