Job Description:
A Senior Project Manager (PM) will be required to manage one large and complex
project (including Ministerial imperative projects) or several medium or small projects
simultaneously. They will need to be able to work independently and manage the work of
large, blended teams of APS, contractor, and vendor staff to successfully deliver
significant outcomes for Services Australia. Senior PMs will also be required to function
as Scrum Masters. This role entails acting as a Servant Leader and coordinating the
work of one or more multi-disciplinary teams, either as an independent MDT or within a
larger Agile Release Train. In this role Scrum Masters function as expert stakeholder
managers and problem solvers, acting as an interface between the MDT and many
different other teams in order to remove blockers to work progressing.
Key Tasks-Duties:
Manage, lead and deliver projects that may have an agency wide impact.
Build effective relationships and achieve negotiation outcomes with internal and
external stakeholders.
Assist in coordinating and managing human and financial resources, workflow and team
performance.
Prepare and contribute to papers, minutes, presentations, and correspondence.
Gather and investigate information from diverse sources.
Work in a collaborative manner to achieve team goals.
Propose and implement innovations within a culture of continuous improvement.
Contribute to Service Australia organisational strategy and culture road map.

Mandatory Criteria
1. Demonstrated ability to deliver large and complex ICT projects within government.
2. Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior
stakeholders.
3. PRINCE2 (Practitioner level preferred) or PMBOK.
Weighted Criteria
1. Experience successfully solving complex problems and removing blockers in large,
complex organisation.
2. Working knowledge of key cyber security concepts.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams with a mix of APS, contract and vendor
resources.
4. Demonstrated ability to work with complex change management requirements.
5. Demonstrated ability as a Scrum Master managing multi-disciplinary teams.
