Job description

  • Play an integral part in defending CN against cyber-attacks.
  • Provide input to inform specification and procurement of new systems.
  • Opportunities to work across all areas of cybersecurity including participating in Red Team activities such as penetration testing.
City of Newcastle (CN) has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join on our Information Technology team.
As a Cyber Security Analyst at CN you will play a key part in defending CN against incidents by identifying, analysing and communicating these incidents to all key stakeholders. You will support and guide your colleagues and stakeholders on ways to establish and maintain internal security measures and controls that are in compliance with council requirements. You will report on emerging trends and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of network threats.
This role will also see you collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders on critical IT projects to ensure that security issues are effectively addressed throughout the project life cycle.
