The Role
Our Lenah Valley site in Hobart manufactures a range of more than 50 milk, milk-based and cream products, with all products made from fresh milk sourced direct from Tasmanian dairy farms. The site currently produces around 33 million litres of product every year, operating 6 days a week and employing around 50 people.
Working across Processing and Logistics, we have multiple opportunities for new Dairy Worker staff to join the team. This opportunity has a true variety in duties, running a milk bottling line and using a forklift in the logistics space. This position has the opportunity to develop further with training in pasteurising and packaging areas.
This position works 12 hour shifts on a roster of; 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, and 7 off. Hours are varied however shift start times are between 3.30 am -6.30 am (you must be ok to start early!)
Responsibilities
- Production duties including running a milk bottling machine
- Warehousing duties including operating a forklift
- Assisting with troubleshooting machinery breakdowns
- Adherence to our quality, safety, and environmental systems and practices
- Recording and entering accurate data into computer systems
About you
- FMCG manufacturing and/or warehousing logistics experience
- Forklift (LF) license is a must!
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist in troubleshooting machinery issues
- Comfortable using technology for production, safety, quality, and reporting
- Commitment to teamwork and safe working practices
