As we embark on our Digital Transformation journey, effective management of our key Data and AI risks is crucial to ensure the success of our Digital ambition. The Data & AI Risk Manager is a senior Line 2 risk role that supports the Director of Risk – Technology, Data, and Operational Resilience in overseeing and challenging the Bupa APAC Data & AI risk appetite and control environment.
You’ll partner with the broader Data Program, Data Technology, and AI ethics and governance teams to identify and management of data and AI risks, including effective risk governance of strategic programs.
This is a permanent, full-time role and will be based at our Melbourne Exhibition Street offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.
How do I help?
The Data & AI Risk Manager plays a key role in supporting the Risk Director to provide independent Line 2 Point of View on the effectiveness management of Data & AI Risks and Governance across BUPA APAC.
In addition, you’ll add value:
- Be a trusted advisor to the business and key stakeholders as subject matter expert (SME) on Data & AI risks, applicable regulatory, policies and standards
- Lead the development of the Data & AI risk profile across the business with clear understanding of the key risks, emerging risks, and risk mitigation strategies
- Develop awareness and education in relation to the Risk Management Framework, facilitate risk workshops in risk identification through to risk mitigations
- Perform independent assessment of control effectiveness including risk deep-dive on key Data & AI risks
- Providing oversight of strategic programs to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may arise throughout the execution of the program, ensuring minimal impact on project progress and outcomes.
What do I need?
In the dynamic landscape of today's business world, the key to success lies in the hands of those with a finely tuned skill set. This calls for professionals with practical experience with risk management and a proven track record of skilfully navigating stakeholder communications to construct a robust bridge of trust and understanding with the business is paramount.
In addition, you’ll bring to the role:
- ISACA (CRISC, CISA, CISM) or RMIA (CPRM) professional certification, in particular data governance.
- Comprehensive Information Technology Risk Management expertise – the preferred candidate ideally will have a minimum of five years L1, L2 risk or Internal Audit experience assessing risk within AI &/or data in a large complex organisation
- Proficient in delivering engaging presentations to senior management teams raising awareness, and educating on all aspects of a Risk Management Framework
- Previous experience in developing and facilitating risk workshops, stress and scenario tests.
