We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Services team as a Data Analyst on a full-time basis. This position is based at our Head office in Western Junction, Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports on requests including KPI reports for key functions relevant to store operations
- Gather and collect data from various sources, including data bases, spreadsheets and external systems
- Evaluate market and industry data for strategic insights
- Identify opportunities to automate data tasks across all departments in order to improve efficiency
- Conduct a thorough analysis of sales trends, patterns, and the factors influencing customer purchasing behavior within the supermarket industry framework
- Identify, collect, analyse and interpret relevant data to help assist TIR strategic vision
- Create and update information resources for internal and team-wide use
To succeed you will:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, and/or minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Good verbal and written communication skills,
- Ability to work effectively in an established team environment,
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines,
- Stay up to date with industry trends and apply best practices across the retailer network,
- Proven experience in data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including power Pivot and expert formulas/functions
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI reports and Dashboards and PowerPivot
- Familiarity with standard BI methodologies, concepts, and best practices
- Strong understanding of business reporting requirements and visualization techniques
- Hold a current drivers license
