About the role

We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to be part of our Operations Coordination Unit, Professional Standards Command team. The Professional Standards Command is responsible for setting and embedding the professional standards for performance, conduct and integrity across the NSW police Force and is strongly focused on the prevention, disruption and response to serious misconduct and maladministration.  

The Data Analyst is required to extract, transform, and critically analyse data & information to draw meaningful insights that contribute to recommendations, intelligence and reports to identify emerging threats and opportunities within the organisation.

Target Question 1:

Describe your experience with Power BI and elaborate on a specific project where you utilised Power BI to extract insights and/or construct a dashboard. How did you acquire data from various sources? What impact did the insights or story from your dashboard have on the 
stakeholders? Additionally, if you have a portfolio showcasing your previous Power BI dashboards – provide a link so the portfolio can be accessed.

Target Question 2:

How have you utilised Python in data analysis or data processing tasks? Provide a specific example, including the purpose of the project, the stakeholders involved, your data sources and how you managed and utilised this data in your application. When answering this question refer to the libraries you used.
